Welcome To TNACA

Greetings TNACA Members and Residents

I am honored to serve as President of the Tantallon North Area Civic Association (TNACA) for 2026.

I am a dedicated public servant, community leader, and advocate with more than 25 years of Federal Government service. Throughout my career, I have held leadership and technical positions supporting several federal agencies, including the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), where I have served as a Contract Oversight Manager for the past decade.  My professional experience also includes serving as an IT Manager and Specialist with the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Beyond my professional career, I have devoted more than 33 years to community service through Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. During that time, I have led and participated in numerous initiatives that positively impact local communities, including blood drives, S.H.A.R.E. food distribution programs, voter registration drives, youth mentoring, Thanksgiving and Christmas food drives, and my chapter's annual Father's Day Breakfast honoring fathers throughout the community.

As a devoted husband to my wife, Katrelle, for over 20 years and a proud father to my son, Mason, I believe that strong families are the foundation of strong communities. I have actively supported his son's academic and extracurricular pursuits while volunteering extensively at Alexandria Country Day School through events such as Dads & Dogs, multiple field day events, Country Market, classroom activities, and currently serving on their Board of Directors.

As President of the Tantallon North Area Civic Association, I am committed to representing the interests of more than 480 households throughout the community.  My leadership has included advocating before the Maryland General Assembly for increased safety measures along Route 210, partnering with county and state officials to address neighborhood concerns, and creating opportunities for residents to engage directly with elected leaders and government agencies. I believe that effective leadership begins with listening, collaborating, and taking action to improve the quality of life for every resident.

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Logistics from The Pennsylvania State University. Outside of my professional and civic responsibilities, I enjoy golfing, cycling, and continuing my lifelong commitment to community service.

Leadership Vision

As President of the Tantallon North Area Civic Association, my vision is to:

  • Strengthen Community Engagement by encouraging greater resident participation, transparency, and open communication throughout the neighborhood.

  • Advocate for Public Safety and Infrastructure by working with local, county, and state leaders to improve traffic safety, road conditions, public services, and neighborhood security.

  • Build Strong Partnerships with elected officials, public agencies, schools, businesses, and community organizations to bring valuable resources and opportunities to Tantallon North.

  • Preserve and Enhance Neighborhood Quality of Life by promoting beautification efforts, protecting property values, and fostering pride in our community.

  • Develop Future Community Leaders by encouraging volunteerism, supporting youth and family initiatives, and creating opportunities for residents to become actively involved in shaping the future of Tantallon North.

Your membership and active participation will make these, and other goals voiced by membership a reality.  Please consider joining one or more committees.

                                                                                  Sincerely,

                                                                                  Duane Bouie, President
